A couple of weekends ago I got together with Danielle and her husband Chris to do some mock bridal photos. They were a super couple and Chris couldn't have been a bigger help to me while shooting. We started shooting while the sun was still up and went on into the night. Danielle mentioned that she would love to try her hand at modeling. I think she'd be a natural.

Thanks, Chris and Danielle, for coming out and being such fun people to photograph.

Finn is 6 months!

On July 26th, Finn turned 6 months old. I had the honor of taking his portraits again. You can see how big he's gotten by looking at my first post of Finn. He's got the most adorable blue eyes and creamy skin. I resisted from holding him the entire shoot until the very end. I couldn't stand it anymore, I had to get my hands on those chubby legs! :) It reminded me of how small Esmé used to be. The time sure does fly. Hopefully, when Finn turns one I'll be taking those photos too!

Thanks Mike and Jaimie for giving me the joy of photographing your Finn.

Dr. Ed Glenn

A couple of Saturdays ago I photographed Ed Glenn, an orthopaedic surgeon, for his up-and-coming website. We took the photos at Saint Thomas hospital and I had a great time. Here are just a few of my favorites. Oh! And if you're in need of an orthopaedic surgeon you should certainly look Ed up. During our short time taking photos I could immediately see his kindness and wonderful bedside manner.

Where has Esmé been?

It's been a while since I've posted any pictures of Esmé. I have them I just didn't get them edited right away because I was lazy I guess. So, I have pictures of Esmé to share today. She's 14 months old now! The time really does fly. It's always been a pet peeve of mine to state the exact age in months when asked how old Esmé is. I swore I would never do that especially after I asked a lady how old her daughter was and she stated 34 months. WTF? But I'm finding it hard to tell people that she's one since they'll take that as she is exactly 12 months old. Sheesh. So, I am doing the whole months thing. But it will certainly stop when she's two. 24 months. Right?

I should mention that this will be a long post.

This is her Zoolander pose :P

The strawberry never had a chance :P

Blog Post Foreshadowings

I had a very busy weekend taking pictures, and I had a blast. I'll be editing images for at least two weeks! This will be a very short post since all it will be is a foreshadowing of posts to come.

Miscellaneous things...

It has been a while since I've posted anything. I feel like I've been real busy, but at the same time I can't think of anything super significant that I've done. I will be posting some pictures of Esmé very soon. Also, I am doing a couple of faux bridal shoots this weekend that I'm very excited about. On Saturday I will also be taking new 6 month photos of Finn. He's sitting up now so these photos will be super adorable.

On a sad note, our kitty Caroline passed away on the 26th of July, only 19 days after Baby passed. She had a blood clot from her heart move down to her legs and she went into congestive heart failure. It turns out she had heart disease. I've always heard of animals passing shortly after their owners pass or elderly husbands and wives doing the same. I didn't really think that would happen with Caroline. I'm sure it's all coincidental, but I sure wonder. She was a great cat to have around. She was everything that Baby wasn't and Baby was everything that Caroline wasn't. They were an awesome pair and I miss them everyday. It's all of the little things throughout the day that remind me of their absence.
